It has been a while since we heard anything about the Dell Thunder. That changed today as Engadget landed pictures and a short video of a prototype of Dell’s upcoming Android smartphone.
Amond details revealed are an 8MP camera with LED flash and capable of 720 video capture as well as a 1,400mAh removable battery. The prototype is running vanilla Android 2.1 but the final version is expected to come with Dell’s Stage UI. Other rumoured specifications include a 4.1-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 800 by 480 or possibly higher.
Engadget’s source also reveals a Q4 2010 release date.
