Samsung announced that a third of the mobile phones it releases in 2010 will be powered by its own bada mobile operating system.
“Customer response for bada-based smartphones is very strong,” a Samsung executive told analysts.
Samsung also confirmed more than 50 percent of its smartphones will use the Google Android operating system.
To date, Samsung has only announced one bada-powered smartphone, the Samsung Wave. But based on this announcement, it will not be the last.
Samsung has already confirmed plans to stop offering Symbian-based smartphones. It looks like this is truly underway now…
