According to a tip received by MobileSyrup.com, TELUS has pushed back the Google Android 2.1 update for its HTC Hero to “the first week of May.” The delay is being attributed to a “lack of effort” on the part of the carrier.
In Europe, it appears that HTC Hero owners will be able to update their devices to Android 2.1 starting on April 16th. This is the day that some European ROMs, including Nordic, Greek, Russian, and Ukrainian, will apparently be released according to a post on the HTC Club forums.
Maybe TELUS could issue an official announcement on this so we can stop gazing into our crystal balls…
