Acer will release two Android-powered tablets in the last quarter of the year, according to Digitimes. The 7- and 10-inch tablets will both be powered by ARM chipsets and Google Android 2.2 (with Flash support).
Acer has apparently already reached out to a number of wireless carriers, suggesting that we could see carrier subsidized pricing and contracts if and when the devices are formally announced.
Acer will also continue to offer ebook readers which do not include the multimedia capabilities of these tablets.
