Digitimes is reporting that Acer will announce a 10-inch Windows 7 tablet tomorrow in New York. It could also use the event to unveil a 7-inch Android 2.2 tablet but that appears less certain.
On the eve of the supposed announcement, Acer is apparently still trying to decide whether it should launch a tablet with Android 2.2 or wait until Gingerbread (Android 2.3?) and Honeycomb (Android 3.0?). Manufacturers such as Samsung have launched Android 2.2 tablets but many (eg, Motorola’s MOTOPAD) appear to be waiting for a more tablet-friendly version of Android to launch their own products.
The New York launch event suggests that Acer will offer its new tablets in the US. Pricing and availability details are not yet known.
