Samsung today announced the Samsung Focus, among the first wave of devices to use Windows Phone 7.
“The Samsung Focus smartphone offers Canadian consumers an extraordinary multimedia mobile experience through one of the most clever user interfaces,” said, Paul Brannen, vice president, Samsung Mobile Canada. “And what better way to maximize the Focus’ distinct entertainment, gaming, video and business functions than Samsung’s famed 4-inch Super AMOLED display, the highest picture quality in the category.”

- Processor: 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon
- Operating system: Windows Phone 7
- Display: 4-inch Super AMOLED
- Storage: 8GB onboard / microSD cards up to 32GB
- Camera: 5MP with flash and capable of video capture
In the US, AT&T will offer the Samsung Focus for US$199.99 with a two-year contract starting on November 8th. In Canada, it will be carried exclusively by Rogers Wireless. Canadian pricing and availability details will be announced at a later date but expect a launch on the same day if the Canadian Windows Phone 7 launch aligns with the US one as promised.
