Sprint will release its first 4G tablet in 2011. In a Forbes interview, Paget Alves, Sprint’s President of Business Markets, made the announcement without revealing much more than that.
Alves also confirmed that Sprint will broaden its tablet offering to multiple manufacturers and different operating systems next year. It expects to see strong tablet adoption in the business sector, particularly for employees who travel (a sentiment echoed recently at TabLife Toronto).
Sprint launched its 4G network in 2008 and now covers 68 US markets. It now offers two 4G smartphones, the HTC EVO 4G and the Samsung Epic 4G, a 3G/4G netbook, a 3G/4G notebook, and several USB modems.
