Windows Mobile 7 user interface to use Silverlight?

Concept Windows Mobile 7 UI

A resume from a developer working on the Windows Mobile 7 user interface has revealed a few details about the status of the new operating system. The two entries in particular are:

  • Created designs for Windows Mobile 7 controls (UI still in progress)
  • Created XAML layouts for controls and dialogs (Silverlight created in Expression Blend)

The first entry simply confirms that Microsoft is still working on Windows Mobile 7 (expected in early 2010). More interesting is the reference to Silverlight. Could the user interface be built with the Silverlight framework?
