We’ve known for a while that the HTC Touch Pro2 was headed to Verizon. Today, Verizon made it official.
Verizon Wireless and HTC Corporation introduce the HTC Touch Pro2, a global-capable smartphone designed for the busiest professionals and world travelers.
Specifications are what we expected: 528MHz Qualcomm MSM 7600A processor, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with TouchFLO 3D user interface, dual-band CDMA/EVDO Rev. A, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and single-band (2100MHz) WCDMA/HSPA connectivity, a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 288MB RAM and 512MB ROM, built-in GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR with A2DP, a 3.2MP camera with auto-focus, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot (supporting cards up to 16GB), and a 1,500mAh battery.
Available as of tomorrow, Verizon will offer the HTC Touch Pro2 for US$199 after a US$100 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract. I wonder how long Sprint and T-Mobile will take to adjust their pricing…
