Verizon will launch a flurry of new devices over the next six months, according to its CEO, Lowell McAdam. Speaking at a Barclays Capital conference, McAdam shed a bit of light on Verizon’s product roadmap.
What can we expect to see? The Palm Pre and a second device called the Cousin (a new name for the Palm Eos which is facing delays/cancelation?), the second generation BlackBerry Storm, the BlackBerry 9630 Tour, some Android-powered devices and at least one Motorola phone. Beyond th promise to see all these devices within the next six months, no specific deployment dates were given.
McAdam also reaffirmed Verizon’s plans for LTE. 25 to 30 markets will be supported next year with continued deployment in 2011 through 2013.
