Verizon announced today that it will offer the HTC Imagio (previously known as Whitestone), its first Windows Mobile 6.5 device, starting on October 6th. It is also its first smartphone to support V CAST Mobile TV.
The HTC Imagio is powered by a 528MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with the HTC TouchFLO 3D user interface. It comes with CDMA/EV-DO Rev.A, quad-band GSM and single-band (2100MHz) HSPA connectivity, a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 5MP camera with auto-focus, and a 1500mAh battery. It also has a kickstand which also serves as the V CAST Mobile TV antenna.
The HTC Imagio will be available on October 6th for US$199.99 after a US$100 mail-in rebate and a two-year service contract. Access to V CAST Mobile TV will cost US$15 per month.
