The HTC S522, the unlocked North American version of the HTC Snap, has received FCC approval. As HTC had promised, the S522 comes with North American 3G bands.
The HTC Snap is powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM 7225 processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard. It comes with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band HSDPA connectivity, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 4-row QWERTY thumb keyboard and trackball, 192MB RAM and 256MB ROM, built-in GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, a 2MP camera with fixed focus, a microSD card slot, and a 1500mAh battery.
The HTC Snap is likely headed to a number of carriers including T-Mobile USA, TELUS, and Verizon (as the HTC XV6175).
