The iPhone 3G S is now available in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. So far, reports indicate that the lineups were much smaller and none of the frenzy seen in the two previous years. A number of factors probably played a role, including the fact that the iPhone 3G S’ features are less revolutionary than those of previous models and that carriers have learned many lessons from the earlier launches. For example, AT&T offered online pre-orders.
In Canada, the iPhone 3G S will be offered by Rogers Wireless and Fido. The 16GB model can be yours for as low as CA$199 and the 32GB for CA$299. Pricing has also been announced for existing iPhone customers wishing to upgrade.
