With Bell just having launched a CDMA-version of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip, eyes and ears are turning to TELUS to see if it will follow suit. According to a post over at Howard Forums, TELUS appears close to its own launch of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230. The post reveals upcoming pricing details.
According to the source, TELUS will offer the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 for CA$100 on a three-year term (about CA$70 higher than Bell). A new plan priced at CA$32.50 per month (offering 200 minutes, free weekends and evenings after 1800, unlimited email and IM, voicemail, and 3 months of unlimited local calling) could be unveiled in conjunction with it. To avoid a contract, expect to pay around CA$500.
With Bell’s pricing now official, perhaps TELUS will reconsider its pricing strategy to bring it more inline with that of its competitor.
