The release of the Sprint version of the Palm Treo Pro is turning out to be a saga. It was supposed to be released on January 25th. Then, it made a brief appearance on the Sprint.com site earlier this week, but quickly vanished again. Now comes word that it has been delayed to February 15th.
The Best Buy memo revealing the new release date does not provide any explanation for the delay. But WMExperts.com received an email from Sprint indicating that Sprint has not finished its standard testing of both the device and its interaction with our network.
WMExperts.com also indicates that the Sprint version of the Palm Treo Pro will come with 128MB RAM and 512MB ROM (with 42MB RAM and 360MB ROM available for use). The GSM version comes with 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM.
Stay tuned in case there are more turns and twists to the Sprint release of the Treo Pro…
