Palm and Sprint have announced that the Palm Treo Pro will finally make its debut on the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network on March 15th. This follows a few hiccups that included a few missed launch dates.
The Sprint version of the Treo Pro will be powered by a 528MHz MSM7501A processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It will come with dual-band CDMA2000 EV-DO Rev. A connectivity, a 320×320 touchscreen display, 128MB RAM and 512MB of storage (300MB available), a QWERTY thumb keyboard, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi with one-touch Wi-Fi button, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, built-in GPS, a 2.0MP camera, a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, and a 1500mAh battery.
Sprint will offer the Treo Pro for US$199.99 with a two-year contract (with US$100 instant rebate, US$100 mail-in rebate, and either an Everything plan with data or a data plan of at least US$30 per month). It will be available from Sprint retail stores and online at www.sprint.com/treopro.
