Sprint had been expected to release the HTC Snap on June 7th. While is it is now available through Best Buy for US$519.99 (contract-free pricing), it has yet to be offered by Sprint. That’s about to change.
Sprint has now confirmed that it will go on sale through its stores on June 21st. The company confirmed that it deliberately staggered the launch as it was focused on the Palm Pre’s launch. It will sell for US$149 after rebates and with a two-year contract.
The Sprint version of the HTC Snap will be powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7625 processor and Windows Mobile 6.1. It will come with dual-band CDMA2000 1X/EVDO Rev. A connectivity, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 4-row QWERTY thumb keyboard and trackball, 192MB RAM and 256MB ROM, built-in GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, a 2MP camera with fixed focus, a microSD card slot, and a 1500mAh battery.
