It appears that the Palm Pre sales keep on rolling in. According to estimates by J.P. Morgan analyst Paul Coster, Sprint has now sold over 100,000 Palm Pres. While Sprint has not disclosed sales numbers, it called the June 6th weekend launch their most successful launch ever. Analysts pegged weekend sales at about 50,000, meaning that Sprint has now doubled its sales in the five days that followed.
According to Coster, most devices sold at Sprint stores are going to customers on waiting lists with only a few goign to walk-in customers, suggesting that there is still some pent-up demand for the device.
Coster also noted that Radio Shack stock seems to have been replenished at least once while Best Buy is still waiting.
It will be interesting to see how Palm Pre sales fare starting on June 19th when the new iPhone 3G S hits the street. Will it be able to maintain its momentum or will Apple put an end to a promising debut?
