T-Mobile and HTC are set to announce the successor to the T-Mobile Shadow which came out just over a year ago. The original device met with only moderate success but enough to warrant a second device to bear the name in what had originally planned to be a franchise.
The new T-Mobile Shadow 2009 will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1. It will come with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (no 3G unfortunately), a 2.6-inch display (presumably QVGA), a 20 key slide-out keyboard, Wi-Fi (with UMA support for @Home), and Bluetooth 2.0. It looks like it will be available in at least red and silver.
The Shadow 2009 will be available on January 28th, 2009. Pricing information has yet to be revealed.
