We’ve known for a long time that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 was coming to Rogers Wireless. When has been the subject of a lot of rumours. But, the day has finally come and it is now available through the Rogers web site.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is an arc-slider phone powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band (900/1900/2100MHz) UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, a 3-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, up to 400MB of internal memory, aGPS (with support for TeleNav GPS Navigator), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, an FM radio, a 3.2MP camera with auto-focus and video capture, a microSD card slot (supporting up to 16GB cards), and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Rogers is offering the XPERIA X1 for a promotional price of CA$249.99 with a three-year service contract (minimum combined monthly service fee of CA$45 per month for voice and data). Once the promotion ends, the price will climb to CA$299.99 on a three-year term. Without a contract, the XPERIA X1 will cost CA$599.99.
