Today is turning out to be quite the new device announcement day! Up next is Sony Ericsson announcing the XPERIA X2, another Windows phone.
The XPERIA X2 will be powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with XPERIA Panels interface. It will come with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band (850/1900/2100MHz for the X2 or 900/1900/2100MHz for the X2a) UMTS/HSPA connectivity (HSUPA as well on the X2), a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display, up to 110MB of internal memory, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, stereo speakers, an 8.1MP camera with autofocus and geotagging, TV-out support, a microSDHC card slot (cards up to 16GB supported). A 4GB microSD card will also be included.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will be available in selected markets early in the fourth quarter in either black or silver. Pricing has yet to be announced.
