An interesting rumour surfaced over the weekend. According to Italian site Samsung.hdblog.it, Samsung is working on a successor to the Omnia.
Rumoured to be called the Omnia Pro, it would benefit from a number of enhancements over the current Omnia. This new model would not only get a slide-out QWERTY keyboard but would also a somewhat larger 3.5-inch WVGA (480 by 800) AMOLED display (up from a 3.2-inch QVGA display). It would ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 but would be upgradeable to 6.5 once the new OS is released. Like the current model, it would come with a 624MHz processor and a 5MP camera.
The Omnia Pro could ship as early as this summer. There is no word on pricing but expect a competitive price.
