Samsung announced today that Windows Mobile 6.5 is coming to its Omnia series. Not unexpectedly, Samsung will offer Windows Mobile 6.5 on Omnia Series devices after its release. It will also offer an update to Windows Mobile 6.5 on the Omnia II, OmniaPRO B7610, and OmniaPRO B7320 (all currently shipping with 6.1).
Samsung’s Omnia line also grew a bit bigger today with the addition of the OmniaPRO B7330. Essentially an upgrade to the OmniaPro B7320 announced in June, it will offer somewhat improved specifications. On the 3G connectivity side, it adds some speed with 7.2Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA. It also features a slightly better resolution display (now at 320 by 320) over its QVGA sibling, a 3MP camera and an FM tuner. It will also be powered by Windows Mobile 6.5.
The OmniaPRO B7330 and the rest of the updated Omnia line will begin to ship in October.
