Rogers Wireless became the first North American carrier today to offer the HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger to its customers. It has been a long road for the mobile phone first announced back in late 2007.
The HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger is the latest addition to Rogers’ lineup of innovative smartphones on its 3.5G network offering customers peak downloads of 7.2Mbps. With the launch of the HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger, Rogers is expanding its portfolio of Windows Mobile devices and building on its already impressive portfolio of HSPA-enabled smartphones.
The HP iPAQ 900 Business Messenger is powered by a 416MHz Marvell processor and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 2.46-inch QVGA display, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, built-in GPS, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 3MP camera, and a microSD expansion slot. It also packs a QWERTY thumb keyboard, a five-way navigation button and scroll wheel on the side.
Rogers is offering the iPAQ 910 for CA$249.99 with a three-year voice and data plan (minimum of CA$45 per month). It is also eligible for 1-year and 2-year plans. Without a service contract, the price rises to CA$499.99.
