On the eve of the release of the iPhone 3G S, Rogers Wireless announced its pricing plans for existing iPhone 3G customers. Essentially, there will be savings of between CA$250 and CA$500. These offers will only be valid until July 31, 2009:
- Customers who bought an iPhone 3G before September 30, 2008 and spend CA$99 a month get a $500 savings off the no term price (CA$199 for the 16GB model and CA$299 for the 32GB model). The offer adds a one-year extension to the service agreement.
- For customers who don’t qualify for the first offer, Rogers is offering all Rogers Wireless customers who bought an iPhone in 2008 the 16GB iPhone 3G S for CA$449 or the 32GB version for CA$549. Again, this offer comes with a one-year contract extension.
- Rogers Wireless customers who aren’t eligible for these promotions can buy the 3G S at Rogers’ cost (CA$680 for the 16GB model and CA$780 for the 32GB model) at rogers.com
- At Rogers retailers, the no-term price will be CA$699 for the 16GB 3G S and CA$799 for the 32GB 3G S.
- The 6GB for CA$30 per month data plan is also available to all iPhone customers. It is only available on a three-year term.
On the Fido side, things are a little bit different:
- Fido customers can use their FidoDollars towards the purchase of a 3G S.
- Fido will also offer a CA$100 to existing iPhone customers who upgrade using their FidoDollars.
- These promotions do not include any service agreement extension.
