Quebec-based Videotron signs roaming and tower-sharing agreements

During their Q2 results announcement, Videotron provided an update on the ongoing development of its wireless network. Quebecor, its parent company, secured the majority of spectrum offered in Quebec in the last Canadian wireless auction.

As part of its network build-out, Videotron has reached agreements with both Rogers Wireless and Bell Mobility to share towers in Quebec and the Ottawa region in Ottawa.

“The Company welcomes these new partnerships, which will equip us to offer our future customers wireless services across Canada and the U.S.,” said Robert Dépatie. “"The tower-sharing agreements will benefit both Videotron and the general public by limiting the proliferation of new sites."

Videotron has also reached roaming agreements with both Rogers Wireless and T-Mobile USA to provide North American coverage to its customers.
