CrackBerry.com have landed a couple pictures of what appears to be the upcoming BlackBerry 9900. Codenamed Pluto, the 9900 is expected to lose the trackball and add a Surepress touchscreen to the Bold form factor. Think of it as the offpsring of the Bold and Storm. There is also a possibility that the touchscreen would lack the Surepress technology due to some exclusivity agreements with Vodafone and Verizon.
A 2009 Rogers Wireless roadmap that was leaked late last year suggests that the BlackBerry 9900 will be available in Q4 2009. If these pictures are accurate, we could see it a bit earlier though in late Q3 2009.
There is a lot of debate going on right now on whether the pictures are genuine. Hopefully new ones show up soon to settle this.
