Palm releases Mojo SDK for webOS development

Palm

Palm finally released its Mojo SDK to all earlier this week. Any developer can now begin to write applications for the Palm Pre (and future webOS smartphones such as the rumoured Eos). The SDK gives developers an application framework based on HTML, CSS and JavaScript and comes with an emulator.

As part of the announcement, Palm revealed that over 1.8 million applications have been downloaded from the beta App Catalog (despite a limited selection) and thousands of developers participated in the Mojo SDK early access program.

Any developer with a valid email address can now access the SDK, its associated documentation, and new Mojo developer forums. The process to submit applications to the App Catalog submission process will be opened up in the fall.
