Palm begins accepting paid Palm App Catalog applications

Palm

Palm announced today that it will begin its Palm App Catalog e-commerce beta program in September. In preparation for the launch, developers can now submit their paid applications for consideration in the program.

Developers selected to participate in the beta program will have the opportunity to have their applications, both free and paid, featured in the Palm App Catalog ahead of the next wave, and to be among the first to be paid for purchases of their Palm webOS applications.

The beta program will launch in the United States and customers will be able to purchase paid applications using either Visa or MasterCard.

Submission information and criteria for application acceptance are available on the Palm Developer Network blog at http://pdnblog.palm.com/.
