According to All Things Digital, Palm is about to launch paid applications on its App Catalog. According to a leaked company timeline, the go-live date has been set to September 24th.
Developers will need to pay US$99 a year to upload applications although developers participating in the beta will only have to pay US$5 for the first year. Developers will also need PayPal verified account to receive revenue payments from Palm.
Presumably Palm will release webOS 1.2 on September 24th (accidentally leaked earlier this month by Palm) as well as it will offer the ability to enter account information in the App Catalog to complete purchases.
