Nokia unveiled a new line of smartphones today. The X-series consists of two devices so far, the X3 and the X6.
Described as the ultimate device for music lovers and social butterflies, the X6 will come with tri-band (900/1900/2100MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band (850/1900/2100MHz) HSDPA connectivity, a 3.2-inch 16:9 nHD touchscreen display, 32GB of internal memory, a 5MP camera with dual-LED flash, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack. It will be powered by the Symbian OS with S60 5th edition 5.0 and a 434MHz processor. It will also come with the Comes With Music service support for the Nokia Ovi Music store.
The Nokia X3, a keypad slider, is the first Series 40 Ovi Store-enabled device. It will come with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 46MB of user memory, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and AVRCP, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, an FM RDS radio, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, Nokia Comes With Music and Nokia Ovi Music support.
Both the X6 and X3 will ship in the fourth quarter of 2009. The X6 will sell for €450 (about US$640) and the X3 (about US$165) for €115 before subsidies.
