While ASUS may have decided not to pursue further development of a smartbook, it appears that Nokia may be going full steam ahead. Digitimes reports that Nokia could make an announcement about an ARM-based smartbook as early as next week at Nokia World. Digitimes sources also indicate that the Nokia smartbook will not be available until the middle of 2010.
Earlier this week, Nokia announced the Booklet 3G, its first netbook/mini-laptop.
In a separate report, Reuters reports that Nokia will show off a high-end phone running on Maemo at Nokia World. I suspect that that this is the upcoming N900. This device is apparently meant to take on the Apple iPhone.
