It would appear that application stores are the latest trend. Apple has its App Store, RIM is set to launch one too and Microsoft does not plan to be left out in the cold either. Now, Nokia appears set to jump into the game.
The new Nokia application store is apparently already up and running but running in closed mode. Some initial feedback suggests that it is still a work in progress but shows promise. The revenue sharing model between Nokia and developers is described as very attractive.
It remains to be seen how successful Nokia will be but its position as the leading mobile phone vendor in the world is sure to give it a bit of an edge.
