Nokia unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the N97, in late 2008. A North American version has yet to be released but that could be about to change. According to The Nokia Blog (not affiliated with Nokia), the North American variant of the N97 will its debut on June 2nd.
The Nokia N97 is powered by the touchscreen-enable S60 5th Edition. It comes with HSDPA connectivity, a 3.5-inch 16:9 widescreen touchscreen display that tilts above a slide-out QWERTY keyboard (virtual touch input also supported), 32 GB of on-board memory, integrated A-GPS/GPS, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, an electronic compass, a 5MP camera, a microSDHC card slot (supporting cards up to 16GB), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Nokia Blog also indicates that the suggested price could be US$699 and that many U.S. retailers could offer it for as low as US$600.
