Nokia announced today that its N86 8MP, described as Nokia’s best mobile imaging device, has begun to ship globally. Nokia had originally announced the N86 back in February.
Powered by the Symbian operating system with S60 3rd Edition user interface, it comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA connectivity, an AMOLED 2.6-inch QVGA display, 74MB RAM and 8GB of internal flash memory, GPS/AGPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP), a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, TV-out support, a micro SDHC expansion slot supporting cards up to 16GB, an 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, mechanical shutter and dual LED flash, built-in compass, and a 1200mAh battery. It also has a kick stand.
Official pricing has not been revealed yet but had been estimated at about €375 (about US$525)when originally announced.
