Earlier this week, Nokia unveiled its latest touchscreen phone, the Nokia 5230. It appears that the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic now has a smaller sibling.
The Nokia 5230 will be powered by the Symbian S60 5th Edition OS. It will come with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual band (900/2100 or 850/1900 or 850/2100MHz configurations) HSDPA connectivity, a 3.2-inch nHD (640 by 360 pixels) touchscreen display, 70MB of internal memory, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a microSD card slot, a 2MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 1320mAh battery. It will be available in red, pink, blue, yellow, silver, and dark silver.
The Nokia 5230 is expected to begin shipping in the fourth quarter of 2009. It will sell for €149 (about US$215) or €259 (about US$370) where it will come bundled with the Comes With Music service.
