A couple of days ago, we saw pictures of the HTC Touch.B (codename Rome) but there were few details to go with them. MobiFrance.com is now back with some new details.
First, forget about Google Android or Windows Mobile 6.5. The HTC Touch.B will run Qualcomm’s BREW platform and could be HTC’s first BREW feature phone to be released.
The device is an early prototype and the ROM is still in development. The interface is still quite basic and some basic functionality such as a video player and Wi-Fi manager are still missing. MobiFrance.com recorded a short video of the device in action:
On the hardware side, new details include 3G connectivity, a touchscreen display, Bluetooth, and a 2MP camera.
HTC is reportedly planning to release its first BREW feature phones in early 2010.
