Motorola is working on an over-the-air update that will address an issue with the camera on the recently released Verizon DROID. The camera has trouble focusing at times. The issue has been linked to a date function where the camera will work properly for 24.5 days and then for the next 24.5 days exhibit the problem.
According to Motorola spokesperson Juli Burda:
“With Droid, and with the rest of our growing portfolio of Android-based devices, we will continue to evolve and improve the overall consumer experience with periodic software updates. The feedback we’ve been hearing on the Droid camera is one of those items that will be addressed permanently with an upcoming OTA software update. The advanced technology of the Droid means customers will only have to accept the download to their phones for continued use and enjoyment of this feature packed Android phone.”
While Motorola did not provide a specific timeframe for the release of the OTA update, it is widely expected early next month.
