According to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News, two Taiwanese chip manufacturers could receive orders from Apple for its upcoming iPhone nano, a lower cost version of the iPhone 3G, as early as March. It goes on to indicate that Apple could then launch the iPhone nano as early as June.
There is also a suggestion from American Technology Research, a market research company, expects that the launch will take place outside of the United States. Their sources have told them that AT&T has yet to begin testing the new device, suggesting that they would not be ready for a potential June launch. Instead, the launch could occur in a new market like China.
