More details about Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 revealed?

A post in the Mobile-review.com forums claims to be details about the specifications of the recently spotted XPERIA X2. The poster claims that the XPERIA X2 will compete against the Nokia N97, offering better specifications and a cheaper price.

The X2 will apparently come with a 3.5-inch WVGA OLED touchscreen display, 512MB RAM, GPS/A-GPS, an accelerometer, and an 8.1MP camera with auto-focus and capable of VGA video (30fps). It will be powered by a faster processor and Windows Mobile 6.5. Apparently, Sony Ericsson has customized the operating system to make it speedier (I’d love to get more information on this). XPERIA Panels will also be back with enhancements and will support an upgrade to Windows Mobile 7.

A few new pictures of the XPERIA X2 have also surfaced. Unlike the first picture, these don’t suggest that the display will tilt.

The fact that the XPERIA X2 will run Windows Mobile 6.5 suggests that we could see it this year or early next year (assuming that Sony Ericsson does not run into the same delays as it did with the X1).
