At MWC, LG Electronics unveiled a mobile phone with a sliding, translucent keypad. The LG-GD900 is described as the world’s first transparent design phone.
This crystal, glass-like phone proves that stylish design can be achieved not only with the use of vivid colors, but also by revealing the handset in its purest form.
Clearly intended as a fashion statement with its sliding keypad that lights up, it also promises to come with the highest level of technical features expected in a premium calibre handset. What those are LG did not reveal except to confirm that the LG-GD900 will come with a dedicated Bluetooth headset.
We should not have to wait too long to find out more as LG plans on releasing the LG-GD900 in Q2 2009.
