According to HTC CEO Peter Chou, HTC will ship “at least” three smartphones powered by the open-source Google Android operating system. Chou made the remark during a Merrill Lynch technology conference.
HTC has already announced the first one. The HTC Magic will be offered by Vodafone in the UK, Spain, Germany and France and Italy later this spring. So, what will be the other two? I expect that one could be the HTC Hero spotted on that famous leaked 2009 HTC roadmap. Things get a bit hazier for the third.
HTC has also the first company to release an Android-powered mobile phone when it released the G1 with T-Mobile.
