We could see an announcement from HTC about the leaked HTC Maple as early as next month. The Chinese-language Economic Daily News is reporting that HTC will unveil it during the CTIA Wireless 2009 show taking place in Las Vegas in early April.
The Economic Daily News also reports that HTC is in talks with four U.S. mobile operators.
A number of details have leaked about the HTC Maple since it was first spotted on a leaked 2009 HTC roadmap in January. It is expected to powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm 7225 processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard. It will come with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a QWERTY thumb keyboard and trackball (a la BlackBerry), 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, and a 2MP camera.
It could also come with a new HTC application called Inner Circle which appears to organize contacts and messages based on time of day.
