HTC announced today the HTC Touch2, one of the first Windows phones and another successor to the venerable HTC Touch.
The HTC Touch2 ensures that everything is at your fingertips in a compact design that fits comfortably in your hand. An advanced smartphone with everything you expect and more, the HTC Touch2 includes a variety of HTC enhancements including TouchFLO, an enhanced user interface that includes integrated weather updates and quick touch access to a variety of the most popular applications. In addition, the Touch2 includes Google Maps for Mobile, YouTube and more.
The HTC Touch2 will be powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor and Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional with the TouchFLO user interface. It will come with quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual band (900/2100MHz) HSPA/WCDMA connectivity, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM, built-in GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and A2DP, a 3.2MP camera with fixed focus, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and a 1100mAh battery.
The HTC Touch2 will be available starting on October 6th in Europe and Asia.
