A “trusted source” has told CrunchGear that Palm will unveil its first Nova-powered smartphone on Thursday. The official announcement will take place during CES 2009.
The new smartphone (no name yet) will apparently feature a full QWERTY keyboard that will slide down from under a portrait-oriented touchscreen. It is likely to be manufactured by HTC like the Palm Touch Pro is.
The source also describes Nova as “amazing” and will feature the usual features, including media playback functions, calendar, email and contact functionalities. Palm will also offer a software store in time for the launch of this new device.
Could Palm finally be about to start turning things around for itself? We should have a good idea on Thursday (if this rumour is true).
