Verizon Wireless announced today that the DROID ERIS by HTC will be available on the same day as its more powerful sibling, the DROID by Motorola.
DROID ERIS by HTC combines the popular Android platform with HTC Sense, a user experience from HTC that makes it easy for customers to stay close to one another and create an individualized mobile experience tailored specifically to their needs.
The DROID ERIS is powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7600 processor and Google Android 1.5. It comes with dual-band CDMA/EV-DO Rev.A connectivity, a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 288MB RAM and 512MB ROM, GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP, a 5MP camera with auto-focus, a microSD card slot (8GB card provided and up to 16GB cards supported), a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 1300mAh battery.
Verizon will offer the DROID ERIS for US$99.99 after a US$100 mail-in rebate with a two-year voice and data contract. It will be available as of November 6th.
