Details emerge about tablet version of Motorola DROID

Motorola appears to be set to follow up the Motorola DROID (AKA Sholes) with a tablet version. There had been rumours of such a device a few weeks ago and now pictures of this device have surfaced. Along with the pictures, there are some details about specifications.

The Sholes tablet will apparently be powered by a TI OMAP3430 processor (perhaps running as fast as 800MHz) and Google Android 2.0 (or 2.1 if it’s available). It will come with a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display, an HDMI port, an 8MP camera with a Xenon flash, a 3.5mm headset jack. The tablet will lose the slide-out keyboard and instead rely on an on-screen one.

Unlike the Motorola DROID, the tablet could come with UMTS/HSPA connectivity and be headed to T-Mobile.

There is no word on availability and pricing.
