Dell’s latest netbook model, the Dell Mini 10, is set to start shipping in March. Unveiled during CES, the Mini 10 is now available for pre-order from shopping network QVC. It will go on sale at Dell.com on February 26. Other regions will follow later but no specific details were given.
The Dell Mini 10 will be offered with a choice of either the Intel Atom Z520 or Z530. Other standard features will include a 10.1-inch display (16:9 aspect ratio), 1GB RAM (not upgradeable), a 160GB hard drive, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, 802.11 g Wi-Fi, a 4-in-1 media reader, an HDMI out port, and a 3-cell battery. It will be available in Obsidian Black, but we offer Alpine White, Promise Pink, Cherry Red, Ice Blue and Jade Green.
Initially, only Windows XP Home will be offered but Ubuntu will be an option later on. Other options that will be offered in the future include the ability to upgrade the RAM, a higher resolution 720P display panel, an integrated TV tuner, Bluetooth, integrated GPS, and mobile broadband.
The Dell Mini 10 pricing will start at US$399.
