DAVE Wireless signs roaming deal with Rogers

While much of the attention has been focused on the upcoming launch of WIND Mobile, DAVE Wireless has also been making progress. Today, DAVE Wireless signed a roaming agreement with Rogers Wireless. This will ensure that DAVE customers continue to have wireless coverage where the company does not have its own coverage.

“DAVE Wireless is building our own 3G network in major metropolitan areas,” said Dave Dobbin, President of DAVE Wireless. “As part of our promise to deliver value, simplicity and flexibility to our customers, we needed a high-quality partner to provide our customers voice and data roaming services when they travel outside our coverage areas. That is why, when securing a national roaming partner, we chose Rogers – their network is compatible with our 3G network and will allow us to offer the attractive services and innovative mobile technologies that our customers will want.”

This agreement follows a similar deal with T-Mobile USA to ensure that the company can provide North American coverage to its customers.

DAVE Wireless is planning to launch in early 2010 launch in a number of countries including Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton.
