The BlackBerry Storm2 is now available from TELUS Mobility. It had been expected to launch a bit later this month.
The BlackBerry Storm2 is powered by Blackberry OS 5. It will come with a 3.25-inch touchscreen display (480 by 360 pixels), 256MB Flash memory and 2GB of internal storage, built-in GPS/A-GPS, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a 3.2MP camera with auto-focus and flash, a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a microSDHC card slot (16GB card included), and a 1400mAh battery. Due to incompatibility with the new HSPA network (it only supports the 2100MHz band), it will operate on TELUS’ EV-DO network.
TELUS is offering the BlackBerry Storm2 for CA$199.99 with a three-year contract, CA$499.99 with a two-year contract, CA$549.99 with a one-year contract, and CA$599.99 with no contract. All contracts require a Smartphone voice and data plan of minimum CA$50 per month.
